Once referred to the Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic, the patient is placed in the care of our member physicians specializing in advanced prostate cancer.
Treatment Options
The physician conducts a full review of the patient’s case, including a series of scans to determine the progression of the disease.
From there, the physician decides the best course of action, which may include clinical trials for ongoing research, immunotherapy or chemotherapy. Also, there are a variety of new drug therapies including Provenge, Xtandi, Zytiga, Xofigo and Erleada, which offer hope to extend patients’ lives.
